Home Inspection
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property (as delineated below), performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. The scope of work may be modified by the Client and Inspector prior to the inspection process.
Verbal Walk-Through Inspection
A verbal walk-through inspection is typically a much quicker type of inspection. It is much less thorough than your standard home inspection as it does not utilize all of the tools in an inspection. While less thorough, a walk-through home inspection can be more attracive to home buyers who are turned away from the cost and time is takes to get a full home inspection.
Multi-Unit
A multi-unit inspection is an inspection of a property that contains 2, 3, or 4 units. It the consists of inspecting the same components as a standard residential inspection as well as requires the inspector to abide by the same standards of practice and code of ethics, as one would during a residential insepction.
Infrared Inspections
An infrared inspection, or a thermal inspections can help an inspector identify defects behind walls such as insulation, electrical, and moisture issues, that otherwise would go unnoticed to the naked eye. Thermal scanning can also help to identify overheating problems with appliances such as HVAC systems.
